This was our first visit to a CitizenM hotel, and we thoroughly enjoyed it, especially the price.

New York City is home to many famous museums.

The Morgan Library, located in the heart of midtown Manhattan, might be a bit lesser known, but it is well worth a visit as it is somewhat unique and a pretty easy visit with its central location and interesting collection. 

In New York City, with over 700 hotels, it’s very difficult to stand out. But The Beekman, a Thompson Hotel, located in lower Manhattan, is a notable hotel. 

The hotel building dates back to 1881 and features a nine-story atrium and two top-tier restaurants. 

Washington, D.C.’s cherry blossoms are as iconic as the Washington Monument or U.S. Capital. 

Thousands of cherry blossoms bloom throughout Washington most notably 3,800 around the Tidal Basin each spring. The spectacular display attracts over 1.5 million visitors each year.

The Hudson Valley region of New York State has so much to offer - interesting historical sites, beautiful scenery, nature activities, and a growing restaurant scene.

It is also famous as a wine-producing and cider-producing region, has excellent antique shopping and serves up a wide variety of artistic and cultural experiences. All within an hour or so drive from NYC.

The Wharf DC is a popular upscale destination to enjoy a concert, eat a meal, or stroll along the waterfront. 

It’s the perfect spot to spend the evening after a day of sightseeing in Washington DC. 

New Paltz is a lively college town, a historic site, a hippie hotspot, and a center of outdoor activity in the beautiful Hudson Valley of New York.

You can check out a Huguenot settlement from the 1700s, shop in the funky Main Street and artsy Water Street Market, and bike or hike on the Empire State Trail

There is so much to see at the Home of Franklin D. Roosevelt Historic Site, including Springwood, FDR’s home throughout his life, as well as the FDR Presidential Library and Museum, and his burial site.

Set in scenic Hyde Park in the Hudson Valley, the 1,000 acre estate is also a beautiful park with gardens and walking trails, and it’s only an easy one-hour drive from NYC.

Allentown and Bethlehem, two neighboring cities in eastern Pennsylvania, were once known as a steel manufacturing powerhouse but now offer a surprising number of entertainment options for visitors.

It also boasts an attractive downtown, offering fine restaurants, quirky museums and historic houses, and interesting and artistic shops. 

Valley Forge National Historical Park is a short 45-minute drive from Philadelphia and southern New Jersey so it’s an easy day trip that combines significant American history, great outdoor activities, and good food nearby.

Rockefeller Center is a must-visit when visiting New York City. Among the activities are tours of Radio City Music Hall and the NBC studios. You can also be part of the audience at a taping of Saturday Night Live or the Tonight Show.

You can also enjoy a classic view of the New York skyline from the Top of the Rock.

Mount Rainier is a fantastic spot for scenic drives, nature photography, hiking, and mountain climbing. It’s a must-see attraction in the Seattle area.

Princeton is a charming and historic town in central New Jersey mid-way between New York City and Philadelphia.

You can spend your visit shopping in fine stores and dining in upscale restaurants, walking through the beautiful Princeton University campus, and touring many nearby attractions. 

The New York City subway is an essential and easy way to get around the city. Visitors may find the world’s largest subway intimidating but these tips will help you navigate the amazing system.
